If you haven’t downloaded the latest version of Micro Niche Finder (5.6.0), NOW is the time to do so. It’s incredibly easy. Just open your Micro Niche Finder – on the homepage you’ll see a great big link that will direct you through downloading this latest version (you can’t miss it). If you’re having trouble clicking the link, try right-clicking the download link and select “save target as”. If that doesn’t work, send us a support ticket and we’ll get you squared away.

There are some changes in this new version. The first change you’ll undoubtedly notice is the visual, aesthetic changes. The new look is still easy to navigate, but it has a more “modern” feel and the font size is larger.

We’ve also included Majestic SEO API for backlink counts. With the coming end of the Yahoo Site Explorer site, Majestic SEO is the premier provider of backlink data.

You still have the option to use Yahoo, in fact it is still considered the ‘default’ backlink provider, but the Majestic SEO results are blazingly fast compared to Yahoo.

Searches, parses, and displays are much faster!

Phrase counts on search results pages are now hyperlinks. When you retrieve a Phrase Count (Broad or Exact) from the search results page, the count will now be displayed as a link.

Clicking the link will open the (new in version 5.6.0) Micro Niche Finder Web Browser, which will show you what Micro Niche Finder sees from Google. Please note: this is like trying to hit a “moving target” – Google Results can change quite often. On occasion you can expect to see counts that may not match the Micro Niche Finder count exactly.

There are other changes too – such as a warning indicator that appears when the OCI provider web site is offline, an enhanced Results Cleanup Wizard, and enhanced update downloader .

If you haven’t already downloaded the latest version, DO IT NOW! Great niches are just waiting to be found. If you have any questions, feel free to peruse our knowledgebase or submit a support ticket!

Google Video – Shutting Down!

Google announced that its Google Video Service will cease to exist on May 13th. This comes as a minimal surprise to everyone that follows Google – after all, Google did acquire YouTube back in 2006, which up until that points was Google’s biggest competitor (but truth be told, YouTube always had the upper hand…Google Video never really did catch up). People who have monitored Google thought that the end of Google Video was inevitable. It just didn’t make sense for Google to own BOTH Google Video and the immensely more popular YouTube; however, YouTube has only relatively recently become incredibly profitable and this no doubt helped to hasten Google Videos demise.

Google has announced that starting April 29th Google Videos will no longer be viewable on the site. Uploading videos to Google videos has long been over (they stopped allowing that in 2009) but if you have any videos on Google Videos, download them to save them on your computer immediately…preferably well before May 13th. Google has added a download button to the “video status” page to make this process easier. Take note: they do not have an option for you to transfer videos directly from Google Videos to YouTube. You must, if you so want to, upload the videos to YouTube yourself.

To download your videos, follow these steps:

First, Go to the Video Status page.

Secondly, download a video to your computer, click the Download Video link located on the right side of each of your videos in the Actions column.

Last but not least, once a video has been downloaded, “Already Downloaded” will appear next to the Download Video link.

If you happen to have many videos on Google Video, you may need to use the paging controls located on the bottom right of the page to access them all.

Remember: After May 13th, Google Videos and all the videos on this service will no longer exist, so act quickly!!!

Error # 12037, 12045, 12057

Very rarely, upon activating Micro Niche Finder either Error #12037, 12045, or 12057 appear. Many of you won’t see any of these errors, but on the off chance you do, here is the way to remedy the situation!

First things first – check your date and time! Click on the time (usually on the lower right part of your toolbar) and if necessary make the changes so that the date and time reflect the correct information. Sometimes this is all you need to do to fix the problem!

If the date and time are correct, you are going to want to Clear the SSL-State in Internet Options for Internet Explorer. Specifically, you will uncheck the “Check for publishers certificate revocation” and “Check for server certificate revocation”.

Next, you will want to install the latest (and all) updates from Windows Update. You will also want to install the latest version of Internet Explorer.

Next, you will want to download and install the root certificate update from Microsoft . This particular update is from March of 2011 – to see if there is a more recent version, just search the term “update for root certificates” in the search box and download the latest. This download requires Windows Validation, and is included on Windows Update.

If for some strange reason this fix doesn’t work, please submit a support ticket. We’ll be happy to help you!

This Wednesday, April 6th , we are hosting a FREE webinar with Russ Ruffino called “The Easy Path To One Cent Clicks With Google AdWords”. If you are already immersed in AdWords you will appreciate this webinar, and if you’ve been thinking about exploring AdWords, tomorrow’s webinar is prime time to get started!

Russ used to be a bartender, but eventually decided to give this internet marketing thing a try. As many of you can probably relate to, nothing offers the freedom that passive income and entrepneurial thinking will provide. With this in mind, Russ began exploring the various options relating to making money online and came up with a great plan involving Google AdWords and One Cent Clicks.

How great is his strategy? Oh, he makes more money per month than some people make per year now. It’s kind of a big deal.

Russ is going to share all of his information on tomorrow’s webinar, so if you feel like learning from a legitimate pro this is a great opportunity!

The essential details are as follows:

If you are a Micro Niche Finder affiliate (and if you’re not….why not?) this post may definitely interest you. I don’t know what was in the water this week, but out of nowhere several of our affiliates in the past seven days have asked for a direct link to our Micro Niche Finder order page at the same time. This is clearly a sign that it’s time to make a post about the way to create a direct link to Micro Niche Finder’s Order Form.

While we do provide a salespage to our affiliates, sometimes it makes sense just to link to Micro Niche Finder’s “Buy Now” page.

If your website, blog, or video explains the wonderfulness of Micro Niche Finder really well it may render our terrific sales page redundant. If you want to create the direct link to Micro Niche Finder’s Order Form and still get your affiliate commission, read on!

Good news: It’s very easy to do.

Bad news: You have to be our Affiliate to do it. But it’s easy to sign up and absolutely free!

Step 1.) Your link will be formatted like this: http://www.clickbank.net/sell.cgi?AFFILIATEID_kickbutt/28/MicroNicheFinder

Step 2.) You must replace AFFILIATEID with your own ClickBank Affiliate ID. You’ll get your own ClickBank Affiliate ID once you become an affiliate of Micro Niche Finder.

Done! Easy to do, and you will still get credit for the sale.
