Constantly Reactivating Micro Niche Finder

This is a very rare occurrence, but should you find yourself constantly having to activate your Micro Niche Finder these are the very simple steps to fix this little glitch.

The first thing you will want to do is close Micro Niche Finder.

Next, search your computer for this file:
C:\Program Files\Micro Niche Finder 5.0\AppData\mnf5lic.txt  (if you are using 32 bit Windows)

Or search your computer for this file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro Niche Finder 5.0\AppData\mnf5lic.txt  ( if you are using 64 bit
Windows)

If you are unsure what CPU you are using, just search for both of these files. One of them will be found.

Once you find the file that applies to you, DELETE it.

You can then open Micro Niche Finder – you will have to activate it for this first time, but after that you shouldn’t have to activate it every time you open the program.

It’s a very easy fix. There is an easy to follow video about Activating Micro Niche Finder that you can watch as well.

If you have any questions, you can always submit a support ticket and our team will be more than willing to help you!

Checking Page Rank Quickly

If you are considering buying a domain, or buying page links or advertisements, it is probably a good idea to do a quick, 10 second check to make sure that the page rank on the page in question is indeed legitimate. You don’t want to get suckered into buying a domain with a supposed PR7 or PR6 (or higher) only to find out that it actually ranks very, very, very low on the PR scale. This is a mistake that could cost you a lot of money.

Granted, domains that use fake PRs as a way to make money off unsuspecting people are generally banned from being indexed by Google, but this information is obviously not going to be proclaimed at the top of the skeezy webpage using the fake PR tactic. An overwhelming majority of the websites on the internet are legitimate, but it never hurts to double-check before going through with a purchase!

In a nutshell, a Page Rank is faked when a 301 redirect is used to redirect their domain to a higher ranked site.  You can learn more about how this is done by reading this handy article.

Luckily, there are some excellent resources on the internet that do all the work for you. Here is a list of two websites you can use to verify pagerank but there are tons more. You can also use more manually intensive methods to verify the page rank (such as looking to see how many backlinks it has – if it has only a few backlinks, it really should not have a high pagerank) but these two sites will do the job quickly.

1.) Rank Checker

2.) Fake Pagerank Checker

Again, there are other sites to verify pagerank, but these websites will let you know if the PR is legitimate and give you other relevant information as well!

Shadowman created by lldaddy

If you’re into designing (or if you think you might be interested in simple designing) this is a FUN website to use…it’s called FontStruct, and it basically allows you to make your own custom font via its online Font editor. Now, for you true design artistes out there, this website may seem like small potatoes, but if you’re not so artistically inclined and you need a custom font (perhaps for your website, for branding purposes, etc.) this website can work in a pinch – and it’s free.

Fontstruct uses a online application called Fontstructor to create the fonts. On the Fontstructor, you create letters by arranging geometric bricks on a grid. After creating your own special font, you have the option to save the file. The file type will be saved as .ttf (True Type font file) and this is compatible with Windows and Macs!

Although this website is free to use you do have to sign-up to join. Once you login, you will see a FontStruct homepage that gives you an overview of your Fontstruct activity – including the option to make a new font (more sophisticatedly called “Create New Fontstruction”):

Here’s a picture of what a basic, blank Fontstruction looks like. There are lots of options to modify and create fonts, but it is fairly intuitive (but you do have to play with it a little bit) and there is an extensive help section that you can use at any time:

At the bottom left-hand corner you’ll see “Basic Latin”. This is the default set of letters that can be edited, but you can edit letters in other languages too by clicking on it and choosing the set of your fancy.

Above the font set, you’ll see two boxes called “My Bricks” and “All Bricks”. The Bricks are the shapes you see under the “All Bricks” category – these are your building blocks to make your own font. Every brick you use will be saved in the “My Bricks” box for easy reference.  As you are building your font, you can zoom away to see how it looks at smaller sizes, you can change your pen type, etc. Just play around with it for a while and see what you create!

And hey-  if you find you have a talent for this, perhaps even offer your services on fiverr and make a few quick bucks making simple, but unique, fonts for people!

If you find you have no talent whatsoever for this, that’s okay…this website is still useful. An overwhelming majority of these fonts are free to download and use without restrictions. Simply find a font that interests you, download and install it on your computer (the exact steps for this is explained in the FAQ) and use them as you see fit. There are thousands of free fonts to choose from, so have fun!

Searches Hanging in Micro Niche Finder

Hey everyone – Searches hanging in Micro Niche Finder?

It looks like we have a new Google Adwords update rolling in, and since we’re kind of at the mercy of Google, it’s taking us a bit of tweaking to get everything running seamlessly again (in fact, we’re testing new updates right at this very moment to see if it fixes everything). But rest assured: we will be able to fix it!

If you are outside the US you have likely been affected by this change already and searches that use google adwords will likely be hanging for you. We have been working on this nonstop and expect to have everything sorted out before too long. We will keep you updated, but we apologize for the inconvenience.

Feel free to ask questions, submit search logs, etc. by submitting a ticket here: http://www.tnrsupport.com/

Thanks for your patience!
