Micro Niche Finder Search Results Quick Fix

You may (or may not) have been seen strange numbers in Micro Niche Finder after Google’s most recent update. Granted, for many people this has not been a problem, but if you have seen anything such as getting only one keyword as a search result or seeing off the wall Ad Cost numbers, these following (and VERY simple) instructions will get sorted out in no time.

We have updated our program, so all you need to do is:

1.) Restart your Micro Niche Finder
2.) Clear any of the strange searches you may have received (you can do this using the ‘Manage Searches’ tab)

Everything should work fine after this. If not, please submit a support ticket so we can analyze your unique situation and fix it.

Thanks!

Captcha Problems in Micro Niche Finder

If you are ever using Micro Niche finder and encounter a problem with captchas, try fixing it in the ways detailed in this article. If this doesn’t work, send us a support ticket and we’ll get you back on track, but generally speaking most captcha problems can be fixed quickly and easily on your own!

If you see an image like the one above, the very first thing to do is to confirm if you have completed the Adwords login registration in Micro Niche Finder. You can do this from your Micro Niche Finder homepage by clicking on the options tab:

You will then click on the small tab in the lower corner labeled Options:

Then click on the tab that says AdWords Login Settings

Fill in the appropriate information if necessary and then hit the “Click to Test the Login” button.

If you do not have an Adwords account (don’t worry, it’s 100% free) you can register for one by following these easy instructions given at the websites below:

http://www.ehow.com/how_5075548_start-google-adwords-account.html

http://www.google.com/intl/en/ads/

After completing registration in Micro Niche Finder, click the “Manage Searches” tab near the top of the page and delete the searches ( or at least just the searches that failed to return results or had the blank captcha error).

It is also a good idea to clear your Internet Explorer’s ‘s cache. You might already know how to do this, but this website explains the process succinctly: http://www.ehow.com/how_8423555_refresh-cache-ie.html

Another thing to check is that your anti-virus/firewall lists Micro Niche Finder as a trusted program/application. Occasionally, some anti-virus software considers the update a completely new program and default blocks it. If you see it on your anti-virus/firewall list as a blocked program, simply unblock it and the problem should be fixed.

Finally, you will want to close and restart Micro Niche Finder and try a new search. The problem most likely is resolved by now – but if it isn’t, please submit a support ticket and we’ll be happy to help!

Micro Niche Finder and Windows 7

Micro Niche Finder runs on Windows 7 without a hitch UNLESS you have previously went into your computer and changed permissions, ownerships, and other vital settings. Changing the settings given by Windows could potentially disrupt Micro Niche Finder so resolving your permissions and ownership is important.

Changing permissions and granting ownership is not a difficult headache-inducing procedure. For all of its great qualities, Windows 7 has implemented default security settings (this includes ownership and permission settings) that if manipulated can prevent many programs from running – and this could include Micro Niche Finder.

In a nutshell, you must give the user (presumably yourself, but it’s whatever username you were logged in as) permission to use Micro Niche Finder on the executable file.  Once you take ownership and change the permissions, Micro Niche Finder should open up without a problem and all of its features should be completely functional.

Detailing the Take Ownership and Grant Permissions process is best explained in these two links:

From Microsoft Answers Forum

or

From BlogsDNA

Read these explanations and follow the instructions to get your Micro Niche Finder working on Windows 7!

keywordList[] Error and Update

Last night (February 24, 2009), we became aware of an issue with performing searches in Micro Niche Finder 4.

A message titled “Incorrect Response” would appear, with details about “keywordList=[]” being returned by the data provider.

The problem was identified and fixed within 2 hours of the initial reports of the issue, and we have posted a new update which corrects the error.

The new version is 4.1.0, and it contains many enhancements in addition to the keywordList[] error fix.

To download the new version, open your Micro Niche Finder software. Click on the Downloads Button:

Downloads Button

On the website that comes up look for a link to:   micronichesetup.exe

Make sure that Micro Niche Finder isn’t running — if it is close it out — then download and install micronichesetup.exe.   Open Micro Niche Finder and verify that the version number is 4.1.0.

Thank You for using Micro Niche Finder!

Problem: When opening Micro Niche Finder it runs in offline mode and will not pull in results.

Solution: This normally happens when your Firewall is blocking access. Try turning off your firewall temporarily and then try running Micro Niche Finder again.
